Unbelievable -indeed, Plausible - indeed. I think I have found it. Free Microsoft AntiSptware (Beta 1), it actually found more than the others and had no virus attached. Tell me what you think. Other than it works, thats insane.

easy to clarify why it works, it wasnt made by them, it was being made by a company they took over

Unbelievable - yes, Plausible - no I'm afraid not, unless MS bought it as suggested above.

I love Firefox... although the IE-based Avant is a fine backup for those (increasingly rare) pages that don't work in Firefox.

Well, it is a 200 day (300?) beta program, i have heard they intend to charge for the final version. Why should we pay for something to protect us from the mistakes their software has?
Use it while you can, then change to another anti spyware program.
I dont believe it!

Yes it was definitely a program made by another company. I downloaded the Giant antispyware and installed several months ago after I had somehow got 'naupoint' stuck on my pc. Naupoint is a fuking annoying bit of spyware/toolbar, that no matter if you delete it, uninstall it, search through the registry and delete everything, it still somehow comes back when you open explorer(I now have firefox which is great) - Giant antispyware got rid of it for me, so I even went so far as to buy it! ($25US) Which is a first.
Damn fine program. Microsoft didn't develop it, which is why it's so good. They're just up to their usual tricks of buying out the competitors. No doubt they'll do the same to Firefox soon (or rip of their program claim it for their own and crush them somehow, their other favourite trick).
Is it possible to uninstall explorer? Or is built into Windows, to ensure you can't get rid of it?

Built-in in the modern versions (2000 and above I think), you can't unistall it as you are using explorer every time you open a folder. This is why most MS apllictions are buggy - because they try to be all-encompasing, instead of being highly focused tools. When you sit down and think about what programs like Word and Windows actually do (or at least aim to do) you'll appreciate just how huge their scope is - and for projects that big the actual amount of bugs is pretty small when compared to other smaller projects.
EDIT: Yeah but their aggrsive policy does suck

Laughs hard and long.
How do you search registry anyway. That is only thing I cant do. I can make programs, eggs, and everything else, but I dont know how to search registry files or find them.

Like suggested above, Microsoft did not do this.
They got Giant, a company they bought to do it.
I believe the URL to Giant is http://www.giantcompany.com

why are people still asking why it works, i stated in my first post, THE FIRST FUCKING REPLY, that they took over the company developing GIANT and didnt develop it themselves

Yep - they're pretty good at hardware. Software otoh.. hell, just look at this:
1. Go to http://mappoint.msn.com/DirectionsFind.aspx
2. In the Start section, select "Norway" from the listbox and enter "Haugesund" into the "City" field
3. In the End section, select "Norway" from the listbox and enter "Trondheim" into the "City" field
4. Click on "Get Directions"
5. Laugh very hard at the result.
