US voters 'endorsed Iraq policy'

There is something seriously wrong with Bush's thinking. How can he truly believe that being re-elected somehow equates to not having to examine how they were wrong and find the ppl responsible for the mistakes made?

President George W Bush has said his re-election has vindicated his administration's policy on Iraq.
Mr Bush said there was no need to hold any of his officials accountable for mistakes or misjudgements in pre-war planning or managing the aftermath.
In an interview in Sunday's Washington Post he said that his re-election was an "accountability moment".
The publication of the interview comes as Mr Bush prepares for the start of his second term on Thursday.
The newspaper asked Mr Bush why no-one had been held responsible for wrong information about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq or mistakes made after the US-led war.
"Well, we had an accountability moment, and that's called the 2004 election," he replied.
I wonder how many ppl who voted for Bush agree with his premise that they completely support his actions the actions of his administration and therefore there needs to be no investigation and no-one needs to be held accountable for their mistakes.
That's seriously disordered and derivative thinking. Actually I'd go so far as calling it delusional. Frightening really coming from a man who controls so much power. If he can't admit he has done anything wrong in the past, what is there to stop him making the same (or worse) mistakes in the future?

Putting aside the reasons why you voted for Bush (I don't want to get into a Kerry/Bush slagfest here), anyone want to comment on this? Do you believe that no-one needs to be held accountable because once they're re-elected, that necessarily implies support and forgiveness by the public for all their past mistakes.
And we're not talking about molesting a fat intern here, but misleading the congress and public to get backing to invade a country, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands and hemorrhaging to the US economy.

George W. Bush is in all honesty an uncaring, mud-slinging conman born and raised with a silver spoon in his mouth. He has had everything given to him and set up for him and if it goes bad, he excuses himself from responsibility by blaming it on some one else or covering it up. He has achieved every single one of his political posts by slandering his opponents and then screwing over whatever he was in charge of with his proclaimed compassionate Christian values and ideas. Apparently, if anything goes wrong in office, neither he nor anyone he appointed to work with him are accounatable, but those who put him in the position because they believed his slanderous lies about his opponents. I pity the American people as together they are obviously the dumbest animal on this planet, short of those who put Hitler in power- no wait, they are possibly quite dumber as Hitler was an excellent orator as opposed to the conversationally inept Bush. America is plagued with stupidity based in their blind faith and Bush took advantage with that by claiming he wanted what they wanted while slandering and libeling his opponent to convince the incompetent masses that he was against all their ideas. sadly the American people didn't watch the debates or watched it with deaf ears to anything not said by Bush (despite his many clues to why he should not be re-elected). Not all of America deserves what is coming to them for reelecting Bush, but sadly all are going to get it.

I believe that when bush was reelected it *was* a sounding endorsement of all his bad policies.

That is what made black wednesday black wednesday.

I think George "Commodus" Bush the Lesser needs to have sex more often. That or a real hard kick into the nads to get him back to face reality again.

if the country elected a man who got us into a war on lies then YEAH they must like it.
it was all out there, its not an after the election surprise. this is what the country wanted and this is what we got.

its up to the democrats to keep the pressure on to bring out the facts. the republicans dont have to.
