There is something seriously wrong with Bush's thinking. How can he truly believe that being re-elected somehow equates to not having to examine how they were wrong and find the ppl responsible for the mistakes made?

President George W Bush has said his re-election has vindicated his administration's policy on Iraq.
Mr Bush said there was no need to hold any of his officials accountable for mistakes or misjudgements in pre-war planning or managing the aftermath.
In an interview in Sunday's Washington Post he said that his re-election was an "accountability moment".
The publication of the interview comes as Mr Bush prepares for the start of his second term on Thursday.
The newspaper asked Mr Bush why no-one had been held responsible for wrong information about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq or mistakes made after the US-led war.
"Well, we had an accountability moment, and that's called the 2004 election," he replied.
I wonder how many ppl who voted for Bush agree with his premise that they completely support his actions the actions of his administration and therefore there needs to be no investigation and no-one needs to be held accountable for their mistakes.
That's seriously disordered and derivative thinking. Actually I'd go so far as calling it delusional. Frightening really coming from a man who controls so much power. If he can't admit he has done anything wrong in the past, what is there to stop him making the same (or worse) mistakes in the future?
Putting aside the reasons why you voted for Bush (I don't want to get into a Kerry/Bush slagfest here), anyone want to comment on this? Do you believe that no-one needs to be held accountable because once they're re-elected, that necessarily implies support and forgiveness by the public for all their past mistakes.
And we're not talking about molesting a fat intern here, but misleading the congress and public to get backing to invade a country, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands and hemorrhaging to the US economy.
