Did Ted Kennedy have a Freudian moment?
In a speech at the National Press Club on the future of the Democratic Party, Kennedy had a little trouble with Barak Obama's (the rising star of the Democrats) name.

Was this a Freudian slip, or was he drunk again?
No opinions or alternative reasons? This is priceless!!

Teddy's whole life is a Freudian Slip. It's one of his endearing qualities.

It's just the DT's talking. Ever since he supposedly gave up the booze, he's been the Kennedy of old (making no sense, stumbling, bumbling), although I don't think he killed any women lately!

What do you mean "Drunk Again"? He was sober at one time???

Drunk or not, I think we're all overlooking the fact that Teddie is like 9 million years old. Even a sober man of his advanced age could make this kind of mistake without it being that unusual.

Which begs the question: Why do you people keep electing him?

Except that Ted is known for his little "slips". He has often used them to imply his actual opinions while "appearing" to be politically correct. IMO, Kennedy represents the far-left wing of the Dems, while Obama is much more moderate. Obama is projected to be a future presidential candidate that will bring the Democrats to a position a lot further right than Kennedy likes. I think he's still pushing for his boy, Kerry.

I've never actually been of voting age when he's run, so don't blame me just yet.

Not "people" as in the country's population, but Massachusettes. I don't know why, but those folks have been following him for years and it can't all be in rememberence of his brothers, John and Robert.
