To me many peoples' assertions look contradictory.

Kind of limited options...
I believe in:
-Magic
-Science
You could even say I have faith in them. I have faith in science to eventually enhance and explain not everything, but what needs to be explained and enhanced to stop the widespread ignorance resulting from religion, or belief in man's authorities/belief in one's self with religious fervor.
Magic is the "explanation" for things that science wont explain.
In many ways absolute belief in religion is the opposite to faith... because the reason many people stick with their faith is because it explains everything for them and science doesn't. It's not faith that keeps people stuck to religion, it's brainwashing and ignorance.

None of the above.

Anbody can, and on ocassion, will, deceive you.

And, of course, we all constantly fool ourselves.

Treat everyone and everything with a healthy scepticism.

I believe in lunatics, followers of the moon, after all, they have the more acurate calenders.

I voted for the "people who claim to be gods deputy on earth " option, only cos its clearly referring to Gary Coleman.

Has anyone watched the movie Pi? The main character is a good example of a solartic.
Lunar calendars aren't necessarily more accurate. I'd go with atomic clocks and sidereal time.

If there truly was one or more gods, then why aren't the planets' orbits not in neat, perfect circles?

of his time using the advanced computer system of his one

invention, Guided Operational Digitizer or G.O.D.. 2. Noah had 3

soon the world would fall to its own violence. 4. Upon scanning

the Urth, G.O.D. showed that the world was filled with fools and

violent ones at that.

violence and self indulgance then knowledge, the Urth will be

destroyed as will the foolish. 6. Make a starcruiser, made of the

strongest materiales we have. Make it plenty of rooms and seal

I believe in lots of silly things. Like my own existence.

I believe in humanity.........................though given the amount of time I have spent reading here my belief is taking a bit of a battering.

I belive in the basic self-interest and family-interest of the vast majority of the human race.

BTW ... consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds.
