How do you think Putin will respond to this? And what do you think this means for Russia?

Maybe puting will poison them so their faces rot off or have them killed or put them in prison.

I really wouldn't put too much stock into it.. largest protest in history called for Bush to step down.. that's not going to happen either.. :)

Well, Putin should step down, but not because of these twits. It's because he won't fulfill his promise of more capitalism, and less corruption. He's slowly trying to turn Russia back into the Soviet Union.

I don't like Putin, and the Communists aren't a good alternative, given their track record.

He'll arrange for Chechen terrorists to hit Russia so that he can distract people from his corruption and rally them around the flag. Cynical enough for you?

Well some people believe the same about Bush.. it's not for us in the west to decide Russia's fate.. if the Russian people don't want him, they will do the same thing they did in the 80's. The people now know they have the power. They are not afraid any more. It was the people who ended the practices of old Russia and we will just have to trust in the people of Russia to do it again if they want it again. If they don't, than it's really not our place to butt in.

lol in case you all havent noticed alternatives to putin are various hyper-nationalists, fascists, and communists, with liberals having lost any credibility after they sank and bungled everything in the 90's (gorbachev was rewarded for his "reforms" with 1% of the vote when he ran for president in 1996!)
