Bit Torrent is an incredibly powerful tool for distribution of large files such as ISO. The problem is that people are trying to use it for things it is not meant to do (as a tool for stealing movies).

last time i did a defrag was somewhere back in 1998 i think.... on my old Pentium 75..
it's just not necessary... let it be fragmented... and format every year or every 6 months. your computer is by then screwed up anyway by spyware, virusses and lots of small progs and games

Not if you maintain it propertly. If you keep your OS up to date, you run a good antivirus (which is also kept up to date), you use a browser other than internet explorer, and you are careful about what you download and from where, then an occasional defrag should be all you need. I know plenty of people running Windows XP who have never had to reformat because they take care of their system.

I never have to reformat or defrag because I dont run an Operating System that would need it. But thats another story.

oh yeah because formatting is an excellent remedy for not using antispyware and antivirus programs and not keeping your computer up to snuff with patches and defrags

and the windows xp defrag is hella fast, my moom has winodws 98, take a flipping day and a half to defrag c, takes me like 20 minutes, at most

Yes it is. Repeated reformatting will make it sluggish and increase the likelihood of bad sectors cropping up.
