Yes. I can think of nothing worse than constantly being agreed with. And, as a lot would know, I often play the "devil's advocate" to see what reactions I can get.

I have discovered, much to my alarm*, that on some issues I believe passionately in, I actually make a far better argument when I am playing Devil's advocate for the other side.
