Query: what do you all think of me?

I've been around these forums for several months now, long enough to make a significant impression upon the people's here. So, I've decided to ask: what do you personally think of me based upon our interactions here? Please, try not to flame me if you can help it. :)

I personally like you. :)

Whenever I see your name, I always wonder if it means something. Probably because I'm sorta trained to think of groups of capital letters as acronyms.

Nope!

Were I to rate you on a scale of one to ten, I'd have to use imaginary numbers. 9i/10
That's mostly because I know the extent of your madness from another forum.

No surprise there, Brendan; we're equally mad.

Tink: Thank you, I suppose. :)

Well PIcaRDMPCia, you're pretty crazy, but you're also sensible and come up with intelligent comments. I always enjoy your threads, as well as your posts.

Whenever I see your name, I think of Picard from Golden Sun 2.

But overall, your a good guy that stands out among all the newbs.

Really? Then you might want to keep your eye out for a Matt Carpenter running around 2040 or so; that'd be me.

I've disagreed with you tremendously both on specific issues and philosophically, but I don't hate you like I do some other people *cough* Chess Squares *cough*

The only thing infuriating about you is your name. So far, variations of meanings I have come up with include: Picard-star trek captain, MP-A plarliamentarian of some sort, CIA-duh, and various other meanings.

Your name has "Picard" in it. And since Patrick Stewart is the sexiest man alive, you obviously have good taste. Ergo, you're pretty cool.

Just so you all know, the MPC after Picard is my initials: Matthew Paul Carpenter.

The problem with your threads is that they're so popular that by the time I get to them there is usually several pages I have to read! :p

"What do you ... think of me?"

When you say things like this ... "The terrorist threat is overrated, and they're not doing much anyway" ... not much! :(

I have no idea who you are. I can't say I would personally ask a bunch of strangers what they thought of me. Seems a little odd.

I keep thinking your name has the word "pimp" in it even though it doesn't, and I think that has affected my opinion of you, but quite frankly, I can't think of anything that I've read that you wrote, I just remember seeing your name a bunch.

Most likely because you're not very active in these forums; I am, hence I chose to ask them. Thus far, it's nice to see that I am overall rather liked.

I was going to point that out too, but for some reason he gets angry whenever I post.
Cannot think of a name

You're the guy with the crazy capitalization in your name who posts a lot or posts in the same threads I look at or post.

Two pages and not very many "Who are you, again?"'s, so that's not bad. I've been here for over a year and I'm pretty sure that's all I'd get.

I've been here 20 months and I'd get that mostly, but all the oldies would remember me, and that's the way I like it.

No...it's just extremely unlikely that anyone running for President would be 35 at the time.
Cannot think of a name
15-01-2005, 03:14
Only if s/he ran as soon as s/he was elegable. Maybe s/he want's to gain more political capital and experience before making the big charge. Look at the roasting Edwards got for being young.

If he was to be just barely allowed to run, but most people don't run till the'yre older than 35. The youngest elected president was 42, and most are quite a bit older.

Seriously though dude, even if I visited these boards excessively you can't really judge a person well on how and what they write. It's far too removed to get to know somebody. If I were to judge you on this post alone I could come to the conclusion that you are either an ego-maniac or deeply insecure. You're probably neither.

Hence the reason why the question isn't asked until people have a chance to form an opinion over time.
