If there is, the world will likely be destroyed and most of mankind killed. Hence why I believe there won't be one, although I won't rule it out if Russia continues on it current path and North Korea's government remains insane.

Sure, there'll be a third world war. And a fourth world war and a fifth, sixth, seventh etc. War is a constant feature of human life. It's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, mankind will continue to exist for a while I think.

no there wont be...but just in case im proven wrong, it will only last for about 6 hours because someone is bound to set off a weapon of mass destruction and kill everything but the cockroaches :p

A Third World War? Doesn't the third world have a few wars going on like all the time? Or are you talking about a war where they come to get back all the stuff we've borrowed? Cause that would suck.

Ah, but there already has been a third world war. Back in the 14th or 15th century, when all sea faring countries were at war over land etc!!
However I think you'd have to be a history nerd (although since I can't remember when it was i'm not much of one) to know that!

I don't know if there will be another world war. Normally wars use the latest technology but that would mean nuclear war, there won't be anything left after nuclear war, I think there are few in this world who would risk that. As for a 'normal' lets bomb the place out of some 'offending' country well maybe depends on how bad things get in the Middle East

The question is not if there will be more war, but whether there will be a third world war. I serously think that it is reaching the point where such a world war is unlikely. Commercial interests are too intertwined now for any two powewr blocks to start a major war between themselves.

The possible exception to this is a world religous war between fundamentalists of whatever persuasion (Christian, Muslim mainly as I do not remember hearing of problems with fundamentalist budhists for example).
