I'm no longer in HS, I work for a living. Still this thread sorta applies to me as I still have to do homework, at the moment it's a workbook on 'Slips, trips and falls,' next it's 'grievence procedures.' I am told we are supposed to fill in the workbook after recieving a lecture on the subject, so I would actually have us given the lecture. What's more I wouldn't mind being paid for my time either (it's only 1/2 hour/month).

Well I suppose I should go and fill the damned thing out, I'm so eager I'l slip, trip and fall to it!

Get rid of every class that has permanent evaluation and change it to something with exams only.

if you could make one change in your school (without having it to be shutdown) what would it be.

If any change could be made, I would have taken the current corrupt power system out.

EDIT:
Not in the sense of blowing it up! That isn't a violence threat! I meant 'remove it' when I said 'take it out'!

1. I'd get rid of the sixth form (they just wonder around gormlessly going into the special sixth form block and use the vending machines no one else is allowed to use....),

2. half the size (2000 kids. Too many.),

3. ban maths ('cause, you know. it's maths.)

4. hold a public execution of the headmaster and all the deputies,

5. sue my chemistry teacher for all he's got (for being incompetent and reading out personal letters {which my friends and I have to write to each other in his lesson because he's SO BORING.} to the whole class and NEVER letting us out on time, never letting us out for break/lunch if we have a lesson before it etc. Oh, and also, I would place more litter bins, and sell gluten free foods in the canteen for coeliac people like me because they refuse to acknowledge I exist. Stupid school.)

I'm no longer in school, but I still have a suggestion. Hot teachers in sexy outfits who remove articles of clothing while lecturing. If that doesn't get you to pay attention nothing will.

Maybe I'll just be boring and say that I'd reduce class sizes (10 -15 kids per class would be good), and chuck out all the idiots who don't want to be there, and who only seem to want to disrupt as many lessons as possible.

Make school voluntary, instead of mandatory, fire a few select idiot teachers, have the cafeteria use real food, and rip down the administration.

I'd change my Sixth Form College by...hmm...

All female teachers. I work better with them for some reason.
Have a decent common room with decent food.
Allow mobiles to be used in the 'learning centre'.

That's about it, VI Form is pretty sweet tbh.

1. Remove AS modules and have one big exam at the end of the second year of sixth form.
2. Throw out the rich, thick kids.
3. De-Anglicise the school (Following the Tsunami ... headmasters lecture on why God allows these catastrophes to happen. 5 minutes of bible quotes.).

Yeah, I agree. I reckon that having two sets of exams creates too much pressure, as it limits the amount of time you have to actually learn and do your coursework.

No, keep the modules. I did all my AS exams at once and that was bad enough. Doing AS and A2 at once would just kill you. Modules break them up in smaller segments, and let you do resits!

Lower the tuition.

Or lower the GPA I have to hold to keep my scholarship.
