It's cool. A friend of mine got it imported from Japan, so he had to make a game out of deciphering what all the Japanese instructions mean.
The best function has got to be that whole drawing bit, especially when it copies what you drew/wrote in the same order. And all the minigames with Mario 64 (dunno what it's called on DS - Mario DS perhaps) are ace, especially the pairing off cards one

The PSP will be better, and if you've been keeping up you'll know that Sony is desparate to break Nintendo's hold on the portable market, as they've priced the PSP at 185 dollars American.

I might like it, if I wasn't completely prejudiced towards the sony games sector. Sorry. I just hate the PS2 so much, I couldn't bring myself to like the PSP. Plus Nintendo knows what people want when it comes to hand-held: the perfect combination of thought, inventiveness and psychotic button bashing/stylus slashing

Considering the 1st shipments of PSPs had broken analog sticks....... and didnt work right.... good job sony!
The PSP will not be better, the DS is an awseme handheld gaming machine, and for all the fetures it has a very good asking price.
And keep in mind, the DS will not be with us for more than a few years. It's not another gameboy.
And nintendo has already stated that they plan to make another gameboy.
For 15 years, dozens of handheld consoles have tried to beat the gameboy(S)
They all had better battery life, better graphics, and better hardware.
And alot had better games.
But they all failed.
