No, to be serious, I have no idea. I'd do worse than GWB, most likely.

Being a Libertarian, I would have no support from any of the other branches. Thus, it seems likely that I would do very little.

Lots of people hate US, so it'll be hard to end the Iraqi Quagmire. Even if you ask for more international helping.

Maybe do something about the US economy.

Hmm.. Probably I'll screw the rest of the world and concentrate on giving Americans the best. There's no way you can make everybody happy.

i would acknowledge other places, besides america. i would make ourself look like equals to the world, not cocky bastards. i would restore lost respect from everyone else. i would "attempt" as hard as i could to create a higher level of tolerance, freedom, and fairness. i would, however, not push my views on america, i would let it be up to the people. however no politician would let me get that far.

I would coordinate with the state governors to end federal funding of state and local projects, which is how most of the stuff the government does gets done. Then I would cut taxes proportionally, leaving enough of a surplus to start paying off the national debt.

I would actually start paying off national debts............ sort out a good welfare system......... and finally burry all nukes a fair way underground then let them all off to poison the soil.

If I were president, I would use the republican majority to sign a decree giving me all the powers of congress. I would then make myself dictator for life. I would then cut diplomatic ties with Israel and aid the Palestinians and Arabs in destroying it. I would then raise an army of 3 Million and arm it with the latest weapons and the best training available(at the expense of Social Security, of course). I would then invade Canada and seize the strip of land between the southernmost tip of Alaska and the northwesten most part of Washington state. I'd then send 30,000 soldiers to re-take the Panama Canal from the Panamanians. I would then carpet bomb and Napalm Havanna into the dust, and send forth 10,000 well-armed cuban exiles to reclaim the island.

From there I would storm Mexico and enslave the populace. Then I would also enslave the entire population of Texas and turn it into an industrial wasteland, generating all of our machines and such. I would then ask the Canadians to join the Union. If they refused, I would bomb Quebec, Toronto, and Ottowa, and my armies would cross the Great Lakes and another would cross from Maine and conquer Nova Scotia and New Foundland. I would then send another one of my armies to conquer Central America, until I controlled all of North America and the carribean. I would then, after amassing immense wealth and land for the nation, destroy the U.N., and launch a systematic campaign of World Domination. I would Ally with Pakistan, Poland, Argentina, New Zealand, and Kenya, and I would funnel billions of dollars in weapons into them. They would all be my puppet states, and they would begin invading their neighbors. Any state that proved too hard for my puppets to handle would be attacked by moi, and I would begin a campaign of pillaging upon their lands. If any nation became TOO tough, I would use WMD's(including Chemical and Biological). Of course, I would ally with the Islamic Militants(who baisically just wanted the destruction of Israel) and assorted rebel groups throughout the world, so that my armies could be freed to take on the greater enemies.

Finally, once I have achieved world domination, I will begin the conquest of Space under the united banner of Earth. It will usher in a golden age of prosperity for the Humans, as well shall begin to colonize the moon and build space stations. Finally, when I die at the age 124, the people of Earth shall elect a new Emperor and then he shall also send the human race on it's path to expansion.

Besides, the Libertarian party endorses free trade. It is not completely isolationist.

Simple: I would have focused on Afghanistan and completed the job there. And I sure as hell wouldn't have allowed Bin Laden to escape so easily.

Despite being an American, I have to admit that both of the wars after 9/11 were military blunders that embarassed our military to even be associated with, let alone involved in.

I would give a slight tax break for all in the >$250k bracket as well as one in the <$50K.....I would make a welfare system that isn't based on good faith...that is based on an inability to work and specific need....not a...i'm to lazy and i need my drugs......iwould legalize marajuana which the government subsidizes....it could be used for paper production and it could also be rationed to the populace....

i would deeply investigate the Oil for Food scandal...and would try to extricate OPEC's dick from the European Union's ass......Try to mend relations with more of the world, but make sure that they don't think we are running back with our tail between our legs.....take an authorative but open view on international policy....definitely keep US interests (NOT UN INTERESTS) at heart......try to stop appeasement in the UN.....and completely revamp our national intelligence system....but that is just for starters....

I am conservative btw....and a staunch one at that....just things need to be done both ways to be more moderate and to make the people/world more open to you and your ideas....it is the political game...

Well, as far as policy goes, I really can't say what I'd do differently or otherwise... I can acknowledge that I don't have all of the information that the President has, and I can't make the best decisions from my more limited perspective...

Often, what seems to be the "right" choice has unforeseen ramifications... The issues in this game illustrate that very well (that's sort of the point)... When you think you've chosen something for the good, you come back the next day to see that it has had some overlooked negative effect...

So, as far as I know, perhaps some of these "wrong" decisions are necessary evils, when the seemingly "correct" path could end up in an even worse outcome...

So anyways, without knowing everything that the top guy and those around him know, I can't claim to know what would be better for this country...

Overall, though, I can definitely say that my decisions and actions would have a much more liberal lean to them (being mostly liberal myself), but would still remain fairly moderate in any ways possible...

However, there is one very specific thing I would do differently from the Presidents of my lifetime (and those past, judging from famous examples... and politicians in general, I suppose), and that is, I would give normal, everyday, average-Joe speeches...

No canned double-talk full of flowery patriotic phrases, and other rhetoric, written up and groomed by a crack team of PR guys...

Nope... I'd speak to my public as their equal... In the terms they use, and in plain old conversational english...

I'd be frank, and tell things like they really are, regardless of whether or not they sound good... To hell with the spin doctors... If something is screwed up, I'd flatly say that, and I'd say what the plan was to fix it...

I'd be honest, and straight-forward...

In fact, I doubt I'd even have prepared speeches at all... I'd speak on the fly up there, and in much the same manner that I speak in real life...

I've had enough of the garbage that flows during the average State of the Union address... None of it really means anything, because it is designed not to...

I am shocked and rather dissapointed that no one has stooped down to the level that I am about to stoop down to in this thread...besides the author.

I would declare myself dictator-for-life, eliminate the Congress, Supreme Court, and office of the Presidency, and immediately begin cracking down on dissenters with the former US army, who would be enjoying their recent 3000% pay raises.

Pro-State is pretty good, I take that stand on a lot of economic issues. However on social issues I'm pro-government becuase I think the government should enforce traditional morals throughout the land.

Why, oh why, is it that Republicans always claim that they're the "small government"/"no government interference"/"state's rights" political party when, in fact, the very first person they got into the Oval Office (2nd who ran, but first who won) unilaterally freed all slaves without regard to state's rights, and thereby ensured government influence over private enterprise?

Now, mind you, I'm not saying freeing the slaves was a bad thing, but the move itself makes lie of the whole "we don't want gub'ment in our bidness" quagmire.

Vote Democrat! We may be scatter brained and mostly nuts, but at least we're open about our agenda.

It seems you fail to realize that in the end, America is chock full of cocky bastards, after all we did sort of revolt over a thing so small and yet so large as taxation without representation.

As President right off I'd request an audience with the German Bundestag, the French Parliament, the English Parliament, the Canadian Parliament and the Russian Duma.

If allowed this, I'd speak to their various Parliaments and try to reconcile our differences, I'd also try to speak in the native language of each country.

Upon finishing my tour, I'd come before the US Congress and ask for sweeping reforms in many areas of life.

I'd advocate a massive cut in "pork barrel spending."
I'd advocate several social security reforms, such as limited privatization and raising the retirement age.
I'd advocate merging the intelligence agencies into one directorate.
I'd advocate a smarter Patriot Act, namely taking out some of the most annoying provisions.
I'd run the Guantanamo prisoners through the court system.
I'd order Martha Stewart shot 3 times in the knee.
I'd advocate making all "welfare" activities limited in time.
I'd advocate strengthening the Military, by adding a full combat division and two support divisions. I'd also redesign the navy around a cruiser squadron system, while keeping the Carriers safe until they are needed.
I'd congratulate Senator McCain on his new job as Vice President.
I'd advocate reforms in the management and behavior of the beureacracy. I'd advocate more efficient systems and hopefully cut down on waste.
I'd advocate tax reform. I'd enforce existing laws better, hack the loopholes (I'd institute a 3% tax on family trusts and the like.) For normal income, I'd make the tax system simpler. I'd basically redesign the entire system to be more natural, more easily understood and generally happier.
I'd advocate trade deficit reduction with an aggressive "Buy American" campaign. I'd also try to get foreign countries to invest in US industry.
I'd attempt to make the dollar equal in value to the Euro, with other methods.
I'd advocate cutting expenditures in every area of government except Education, the Military (intel is included in this) and Social Security.

Now, of course all of these things are contingent on Congress agreeing, but since I'd associate myself with the Republican party, I'm sure I can get in a good spot with the majority..

I'd do more than be a celebrity. I'd work on social issues other than everybody elses issues. I'd have to many socilised idea for America's majority, and richest wins to vote me in.
