I just saw most of Oliver Stone's JFK and was quickly convinced JFK was assassinated by a shadowy cabal of hardline cold warriors which went all the way up to the top (LBJ). Was that movie total BS? Please tell me I am easily brainwashed.

Oliver Stone's movies are magnificent portrayals of "what if?"
The idea that Oswald acted alone if he had any major role at all is ludicrous. Of course it was a conspiracy. The nature of it though will be a mystery forever. Better to focus on other mysteries like Amelia Earhart and what Stonehenge is all about.

Well, when a President dies the VP is the obvious suspect. He goes from being the most worthless person in all of government to being the most powerful person in the world with a single gunshot. Really, what VP wouldn't kill the President given half the chance. I might do it if I were VP and I certainly wouldn't put it past LBJ.

Yeah in retrospect it was obvious that LBJ was a rat. I mean look at it, he is from texas so you know he loves killing, and he and John never got along. He was put in power to replace JFK who wanted to take the troops out of vietnam. However later in 68 when he was up for relection he didn't run again supposedly out of guilt for all the people killed in vietnam, but really because he was tormented by helping kill the president.
