Basically Nathi has had an open invitation to become a mod any time she really ever wanted to but has never really wanted to and the mods who Role Play with her and have her in their group which makes up about 60% of the moderators on Nationstates that in fact come from this group were always concerned what the players would think if they modded yet another player from their role play group that they run.

So, given I had resigned as a mod and a new one was appointed and given I didn't actually know or ever hear of this other nation (the new mod) and given that there was such a close relationship to Nathi, I just thought it was possible.

I clearly never said I knew for fact, because I didn't. But it just sort of made sense to me at the time knowing that if she did take the mods up on the open offer that has basically been there to her since the day I became a mod that she would probably do it as a puppet if ever.

I guess it turns out it wasn't her, really an honest mistake if you had known what I did at the time. ;)

Which is, in fact, probably one of the reasons you got modded in the first place. A good number of mods entered that group after being moderators and it sorta kills the whole "mods only appoint by nepotism" argument. We don't like nepotism, we avoided it. Is that a crime now?

Had I been offered, I would have accepted, out of a sense of responsibility, and a desire to give back a bit to the community here. I have not been offered such. I have not then, now, or ever jockeyed nor petitioned for a moderator position. Nor will I in the future. There is a decided difference between 'wanting' and 'choosing to accept'. Given my previous statement, this point is moot.

I'm not sure which 'group' you're referring to there exactly, unless it is our ic-based alliances overall -- which really don't have anything to do with the behind-the-scene operations of NationStates. Your supposed 'evidence' was some ip addy bits from NSWiki, which you yes, had taken completely out of context and again, dealing with in-game rp, some broadbased assumptions, and nothing else from what I can see. I can also see Scolo has taken the opportunity to nix the weak claim of nepotism. Good. We sure as hell don't play that game with our alliances, I haven't seen evidence of nor would expect such behavior from the people in question for more important things like the moderation of the game.

Ah well - it has provided a number of us near endless entertainment with the whole 'NathiBorg Collective' bit nonetheless, and it has inspired me to get back to posting in Moderation and such as I used to, so for that, I thank you.

I've no idea what exactly you were trying to accomplish here with injecting all this, seeing as this seems to be about Steel and Cog and joking and all, but that's ok. Great opportunity to clarify. Clarity is the key to air power? At any rate, it's time to move on, Steph. Really, it is. Any 'vendetta' here is one of your own imagining and creation. And I think you know what needs to be done to stop it.
