Nah, this happened to me, as well. I sent off my holiday photo's to be developed, and the one with me stood on the beach was replaced with a picture of the gaping maw of Hades itself. I think it was a mix-up at the printers, and some dude has a really fucked-up photography class.

That's pretty fucking cool-looking.
I hate cameras. Film cameras never work with me. Often, I'll take a few pictures, and when I go to get them developed they'll all be either not exposed, or a hideous neon green. It's happened with a couple separate cameras on different occasions to me, at different development studios. Damn technology...
The wierdest thing that's ever happened to me is in a photo of a cave I was poking around in, I took a picture with no flash, but it showed up bright as day, with an odd white smudge in the middle. Nothing special, prolly just a fucked-up camera.

There's several things about the image that bother me. First off, the lighting in the background, if it were of an "attractive mural" one would expect to see at least somewhere around the skull photo.

Plus, the image seems to have been scanned so perfectly, and the skulls are so crisp and clean. I'd be wary that there might be some tinkering with this one.

Just me being skeptical, that's all. Don't let me stop you from believing in images of questionable repute.

When they said they took a picture of a mural, I thought that was the mural. After all, insanity lends itself to artistry. It really isn't too bad. But I digress, I heavily doubt that it's supernatural or paranormal or anything like that.

Yeah, the quality was bothering me...
Usually in a scanned picture, it's not gonna be quitethat clear. I've done a bit of image work, and in my experience they don't come at that quality unless you get professional work done.

Maybe it's a digital camera image though?

Possibly, but I'd suspect they used double exposure, or some sort of overlay.

The way the story accompanying the pic describes it, it seems like the picture was a normal film photo.

I thought it looked a bit off from one, but now that you mention it, it looks like a dobule-exposure with a bit of photoshop tinkering, is what it looks closest to to me.

Or, perhaps, somebody found somebody ELSES art on the web, and cut in the tape, background, and all that...No camera involved :P

Umm...
Skulls?
I don't see where the 'Gate to Hades' thing in the story with it came from, doesn't seem to have much to do with any account of Hades I've heard...

It might also be a filter, but for the moment I'm going with double exposure film picture, scanned with a high power professional scanner and with some photoshop cleanup by the same person who provided the pro-level scanner.

It's not THAT good a Photoshop comp. I've done better - and anyway, it's hard to tell as the image is so appallingly low-res.

WHy the hell would someone go to so much effort?

I would go on a tirade about psychology at this point, if I felt up to it, but I don't, so...
They're just lame fools who believe in silly superstition. And no matter how many times you debunk their claims with solid scientific evidence, they'll keep rambling on, and often see you as being part of a conspiracy against their beliefs.

It may also be for attention.

If it's for attention, they're winning.

I think it's kind of funny that some people 'validate' their superstitions to others with faked evidence, but later, it seems to bolster their own faith in it as well. Some people seemto be able to selectively ignore the fact that it's faked.

Yeah well 1. I don't believe in ghosts 2. I'm not the supersticious type
If that is suppose to be the "Gate to Hades" where the hell is the gate? I just see a bunch of skulls. It looks to me like someone is just good with Photoshop.

Yeah, I really don't understand why people try to bring physical evidence into this. Since all the physical evidence has been faked, it just takes even more credence away from their cause.

Except to people that already believe it, leaving us with a group of psychos that think they know 'the truth'.
:p
That explains a lot.

Or we can all except the fact that there is no truth. There is two sides to ever story, two sides to every thought, two sides to every act, and I could go on for days. So we should all just believe what we want and leave it at that. Because with people saying "It's the truth" another will say "It's a lie". There will never be and end to that because the Human race is to fucked up and pathetic to agree.
