CNN's partisan 'debate' show CROSSFIRE...has been cancelled.

I nominate Jon Stewart for the new Jesus.

Probably. But now the whole Crossfire program is gone. Jon Stewart likely had a hand in that.

Stewart only rules a Comedy Central show. Besides Kilborn was a much better host, and much more fun besides.

Stewart has always been a 2nd rate comedian.

Only by working the Hell out of the lowest common denominator does Fox become more popular than CNN.

Fox News is the Jerry Springer of the cable news outlets.

Stewart's Pulitzer outweighs Kilborn's JACK-SQUAT anyday.

Wow, a Pulitzer! He can display it next to my Special Olympics gold medal.

Kilborn was just so much funnier. Stewart tries too hard.

Didn't we already have a Jewish messiah. If we need another how about Jerry Stiller instead of that smug Jon Stewart?

Its funny how that is your opinion and you know it might've been true before John Stewart got his own show...But now, its pretty obvious, John Stewart is a major figure in satire. And I for one dont care what you say, Craig Kilborn was a douche.

I applaud Stiller on Festivus. Indeed he has contributed to the spirit of the winter season, much like Jesus.

But Jesus also saves and Jon Stewart has saved us from Crossfire.

I don't know where you get "smug" from. The man is JEWISH. He's too self-depreciating to be smug.

Good. I watched Jon Stewart's hilarious attack on Crossfire via the internet!

I have never watched an episode of Crossfire, but it looked like a lame show.

Anyone who didn't watch crossfire can do a neat little science experiment to find out why it was disliked by John Stewart.

1. Walk up to a brick wall.
2. Shout, scream and beat your heat against it for 30 min.
3. Continue step 2, every day, until the wall breaks or your head does.
4. Claim that you have done something good and productive for the American people.
5. Repeat.

Viola! You have created Crossfire: the home game. People who are all but contractually obligated not to agree with each other "debate" the issues by screaming shouting and making fun of one another. It is simple partisan hackery in its raw, crystalized form. It could be refined and solds as pills.

Why did a show like that even get on CNN? That alone should tell us how far the news giant has fallen.

"Dude", only jerkstains say dude. No wonder you find Jon Stewart so funny.
Hey reject, I was comparing the pulitzier to the special olympics. Both are retarded awards. Can you comprehend the typed English language. Dumbass!

You probably find Bill Hicks brand of "comedy" hilarious. The funniest thing to come out of Hicks was his last breath!

How did he save us? I mean if only 100,000 people watched that lame show every night, he didn't save us from anything. Crossfire was sucking in the ratings before he ever "attacked" it. Why does he not "attack" Larry King Live? That show is worse then Crossfire ever could of hoped to be.

Smug as in he takes himself too serious, stupid facial expressions when he reads something funny. Self-depreciating?? Sure he does! Say what you will about Stewart, he can't interview someone as good as Kilborn could. How far was his head up Kerrys' ass?

If you don't like him, you could mention it kindly and not deliberately try to offend people. I'm pretty sure everyone here could well reason WHY you don't like him with you going into...grisly anatomical details?

You denunciation of the man frankly sounds disingenuous; you seem more like a troll and less like a poster now. It doesn’t even seem political or well thought out; it’s sad, I was really hoping for someone of your political persuasion who WASN'T a troll. But perhaps I’ve been spoiled, reading Eutrusca’s political posts or something?

It is possible to express dislike without being a flame-baiting provocateur no?

I try to offend as many people as possible. If this offended you then I'm sorry if you cried! :( Grissly anatomical details??? Are you serious?

It isn't political, it is just me feeling on a hack who everyone in this thread seems to think is the best thing since sliced bread. Politics has nothing to do with this. The Kerry interview just showed how much of a sellout he has become.

BTW what is my political persuasion? You seriously need to grow a thicker skin and maybe a spine. Sorry for that grissly anatomical detail!

I would still love to see Jon Stewart and Dennis Miller team up... especially for Election Coverage. Or maybe even an hour of fake news?

Or covering the Giants. Lordy knows there's no reason to tune in otherwise. :(

Well, at least the Jets have a chance. :)

They Come from New York...

New York is the home of the Yankees...

The Yankees are the Red Sox's arch-rival...

The Rod Sox are from Boston...

I am from the Boston area...

Therefore, I hate all of New Yorks sports teams!

Yes, my logic amazes me too sometimes.

I liked Crossfire too. I liked watching those 4 idiots and the occasional guest bicker uselessly. I was entertained by how lousy each side would argue its point. It was amazing to me how such a bunch of morons were able to land such high-paying jobs.

However, it is but for the greater good that it go. I can live with the sacrifice if it actually improves the level of political discourse in the country if only just a bit.

Even though I'm from the NY area, I don't begrudge the Sox finally winning one. And I do follow the Pats (as long as they're not playing the Jets).

But I miss not having the Bruins to see get beat on this year. :D
