Let's see...in terms of technology, it's one of the most advanced nations on the planet. The Queen is an outstanding person who has done much for the world's children. Corruption doesn't exist (or if it does, just barely). The country is economically authoritarian, socially libertarian. The country is extremely peaceful and rarely wages war. Taxes are extremely high, but citizens enjoy all sorts of assorted benefits and goodies as a result of it. Anything I missed?

Whoa! Now wait a sec, :P. a s*it load of scandals struck the Socialist Democrats during 2004. Some politicians (mainly of the social democrats) had "aquired" (given to them trough illegal ways by people they had done favours for) apartments, houses etc. at very cheap prices through un-explainable ways which they refused to tell.
Smaller houses which were built for divorced parents with little or no income at all had been "rented" out to some very rich politicians. When it came out they resigned quite fast :P.
(Now I dont have the sources for this because I mainly saw it on the telly and read it in the papers so... you are just going to have to take my word for it.)
But anyways, despite this Sweden is an amazing country. :)

True, but put in a Swedish context the Social Democrats are not really that different from our conservative party, i.e. the Moderats.

Sweden is a nation that is in Northern Europe in the Scanidinavia region.
Sweden was once one of the great powers of Europe, it challenged Russia, Poland and what is now Germany, often being victorious or at least pillaging the hell out of the country. But over time Sweden was whittled away at by the growth of Germany and Russia, and now it is in its' current form.
Sweden was a neutral nation during WWI and WWII, and it stayed neutral during the cold war.
Sweden is a pretty nice country all in all, and I'd love to visit.

I'd say bi-and-a-half-lingual. ;) Almost everyone speaks English and everyone gets the chance to study another foreign language in high school (most commonly French, German or Spanish).
