Job growth in 2004 was the best in five years. Even the manufacturing sector had the best annual job growth since 1997. In addition, consumer debt fell by a record, where Wall Street expected an increase. This sent the dollar a much-needed boost.

Good news for once, and gas prices have been slowly trickling downwards as well.

Not where I live. In Upstate NY, the average price is $2.03. The national average is $1.77, and falling faster than ours.

Ouch, even at it's highest here in Ohio it was at like 1.90. Now it's about 1.65 or so.

Well, we're use to over $2.00 for our gas. But it's been coming down from its peak of $2.20.

Cool, but it only covers November. December numbers might be a tad more bleak (considering the Christmas shopping was not up to par, and debt loads incread more and more often in December than in November). Here's to hoping I'll be employed again soon!

I'm guessing you're youngish. Christmas shopping is never up to par. Watch when the actual numbers when they come out next month. ;)

Oh yes that's right. Christmas. Employment should go down as well since the retail boost that happened in september will begin to fade now. Much of the boost in that area the passed few months was due to increased shopping due to Halloween and Christmas.
