It really depends a lot on what you like. Lots of new stuff is junk, but there's some good stuff around.

Look towards foreign music. I in particular would recommend Kaizer's Orchestra (Norweigan) and Yuzu (Japanese). I suggest googling them or something. I know you can find samples of Kaizer's music on their website.

He's right .. Kaizers Orchestra is rather nifty.

Nobody likes everything. Do you like rock, country, hip-hop? What are some bands you like now. It would give me a better idea of what to recommend.

That guy's hilarious... but he ruined 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and 'Pretty Gly (For A White Guy)' for me... I couldn't remember the words to those songs for ages.

try 'Die Arzte' for some good 'ol fashioned rock & roll.
they're german.. but they sing quite a few songs in english.
the music can't be beat.
