Good stuff (ie: ground Blue Mountain): Black.
Dunkin Donuts/Starbucks/Bruegers: Cream
Instant: Cream & sugar
Sanka: LOTS of cream & sugar
UConn (Goodyear dorm) during exams: With a shot of 10W30, to lighten it up a tad.
(Note: It's been 10 years since I was in college, the UConn dorms may have improved their coffee by now. But I would not bet on it...)

I just got back from a couple business trips. One to India and one to Israel. The Israelis definitely had the best coffee, the only thing for sale in India was Nescafe instant. We would get a little dish of instant and some hot water for breakfast. It was so bad, I had to start drinking tea!
Now, the coffee in Israel was pretty good. Nice and strong. Plenty hot. The odd thing about it was the two or three tablespoons of grounds in the bottom of the cup. Sure, the hotel restaurants made coffee by brewing it and just served the liquid, but the Air Force guys that we worked with just put a couple teaspoons of very finely ground coffee into a cup and added boiling water.
As a side note, what is an equivalent measure for a teaspoon in metric? It's really volume, but not much. Do cookbooks call out 25 ccs of salt or 100 Ccs of flour in a recipe?
Anyhow the coffee was good, but is this just a traditional Mediterranean way to make it?

In metric cookbooks its still just a tea spoon
I think it is traditional for Africa
I like my coffee 65 degrees, espressed, DO NOT BOIL THE MILK!!! I _CANNOT_ stress that enough! Instant coffee is nothing like real coffee.

There's a Greek concoction made with Nescafe, condensed milk, sugar, and a martini shaker that's really quite excellent. You put the sugar, Nescafe, and a little water in the shaker, shake the hell out of it (this generates a huge amount of foam), then put it in a glass. Drop an ice cube through the foam, pour in a little condensed milk, and boo-yah!
I think you need European Nescafe (Ivory Coast), not the U.S. Nescafe (Mexican), for this to work. The U.S. type just doesn't foam right.

There's an American concoction that involves a fifth of bourbon that isn't bad, either. Pour a cup of coffee. Leave room. Add whiskey. It works well with instant, too. Any kind. Or without coffee.

I only drink coffee under extreme fatigue circumstances because I actually really hate the taste of it. So to cover up the flavour I add about 8 heaps of sugar and wait until it's cold because I think it tastes...reasonably alright in that state.
What about coke? What about energy drinks? They don't work like coffee.
I like my coffe like I like my women...
Hot, quick and easy! :D
(Incase this is noted by a girlfriend of mine, past or present, I retract the prior statement :p )

It is 15ml. You can get cooking teaspoons that have the exact volume and can be calibrated for larger and smaller ammounts (There is a slidy thing that reduces/increases the volume that can be held)

I think so.

I like my coffee beans made from oak. And my coffee cup ivory. The liquid must not, on any accouny, turn to vapour. ANY of it. Or i cannot drink it. It must also be coffee.
:D :D :D :D I like my coffee how I like my women. Ground up and in the freezer.

I prefer Cuban ccoffee (think espresso with CRACK!! :headbang: ), but regular coffee has to be real. Instant stuff sucks. With a little cream and sugar. At my local bagel shop, all I have to do is say light and sweet, and they get it right every time.
