Hmm , well I have green eyes, although maybe you may be using the colour of peoples skins and not eyes to class them into races?

We need more white people.

Like many Americans I am a hodge podge of races. though the majority of my genetic background is anglo saxon, my grandmother was half comanche. When she would get mad my grandfather would warn us by saying "Granny's on the warpath again!"

While I was in college I became interested in in my family tree. I began looking for people with my last name (which is extreemly uncommon). I was able to track down a family living in South Carolina and confirmed that I was indeed related to them. I contacted them and they sent back a picture of a large black family. Apparently, I'm more of a mut than I origionaly thought!

i find it funny that spanish is grouped as a race, though spanish people are caucasian, yet natives are not included as a separate racial group, though they are... at least moreso than spanish...

unless you mean hispanic, which is mixed native and spanish, thus woudl fall under the mixed category.

i think the main racial groups are caucasian, mongoloid and negroid.

Could somebody explain to me where the term "Caucasian" came from? The Caucasus is a mountain range running from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea and serves as the border of Asia and Europe there. How did all white people get associated with it?

I don't know, but I hate being called 'Caucasian.' I'm not from the Caucasus, so why the hell would I be one? It's just as absurd as calling someone from Laos an 'Appalachian.'

I really don't think white folks are the minority on this forum...

just to be anal race and ethnicity are two total different thing. there are white spainish people and black spainish people. In cuba there is even chiness cubans. I once met a chiness-jewish cuban. He was selling fire works with no gun powder and his raft was the only one with a stereo. so yea just saying it b/c me and my dad always get in a fight about this he saids he's white and i say we're hispanic and he say ur a dumbass thats not a race and then i either moon him or flick him off.

the third choice is supposed to be Latino. Hispanic means Spanish or Portuguese. Latino means from anywhere in North or South America except US and Canada

Me, there is only one of me, and hundreds of you, therefor I am, clearly, the minority.

I chose mixed. From my perception here in the south-U.S. there are many white-black mixes. I know there are many different race combinations in our world, but to me this is the minority.

there is also a fair amout of african in hispanic descent as well

in the citizen's passport? I hope they don't do it in USA, or do they?

Actually Judaism is both an ethnicity and a religion.

nope. city of birth is the only place of origin they care about in the u.s....till they put the chip in (http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/01/06/passports/index.html), then who knows what'll be on there...

I remember ther was a family in Louisiana back in the seventies that sued to have the race on their birth certificates changed. According to state law at that time if you had any negro blood at all you were listed as black on your birth certificate. The family at this time was almost exclusively blond haired and blue eyed. According to my socialogy class a minority is a group which has less social, economic and political power than its numbers should indicate. By this definition women are the largest minority on earth.

The first europeans came in waves into central Europe during the last 50,000 years or so. They took over from the Neanderthals who lived there before our ancestors came. Most of them came from the south-east through Ukraine/South Russia and from Turkey and if you look at the map those countries are quite near Caucasus. They were hunters-gatherers as opposed to the agricultural people of the mideast (that knowledge came much later to Europe). So the area around Caucasus is probably the breeding home of the early European peoples. Check out the works of Bryan Sykes.
