how do you change the settings so that you don't automatically sign in?

the box for sign in got checked accidently and i don't know how to undo it.

Select the options button from the core messenger window, in the tools section. Then from that screen go into the preferences sub-folder. the top option should be "run messenger when windows starts." uncheck that to stop it.
