NPR, though I believe it does have a "content" bias. Listen to it every day, always has something interesting, although some of the "cultural" interest pieces they do drive me nuts.

As far as television is concerned, I think it's the BBC. But I generally find the respectable newspapers more reliable than anything else.

Come on, give it a chance. I personally enjoy how pissed they get when they realize Canadians dislike Bush so much and then bash Canada.

Fox News, of course. I don't know why people say it's bias, it has fair and balanced coverage.
I know that was sarcastic.
But I guess the Daily Show and sometimes MSNBC seems reliable, but mostly Daily Show.

Why would I be sarcastic about it? When I have a chance to watch US news, I watch Fox first, CNN gets very repetative.

I voted other, because you forgot to put down ABC.

I also think that the big three networks in the U.S. (NBC, ABC, & CBS) are pretty equal in terms of coverage and reliablilty. There was that whole Dan Rather thing during the election, but that was a fluke. That sort of thing almost never happens.

I think it's somewhat interesting to flip between the three of them during the evening news. 75%, they're all talking about the same thing, at the same time.

i feel the only way to get any sort of reliable news, is to search it out and research it on your own, although that comes from being a journalist :-P

but at the same time, I feel a mix of several different news channels is the best way to find something reliable.

NPR (national public radio). It being non-profit helps take a lot (not all) of the sensationalism out of it. They tend to be more likely to look at many views as well.

I rely heavily on CBC Newsworld and CBC.ca, and to lesser extents CNN and the BBC world service. PBS I'll consult during American events, as well as CNN. Interestingly enough, I used to watch 'South Asian Newsweek' on a nightly basis for many months. It featured Canadian and international news, but with a strong focus on India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. It was great hearing news stories from the other side of the planet.

I might just opt for digital cable if we get Al-Jazeera in Canada..

There is no single reliable news source. You must search as many as you can and try to impassionately strip bias from all articles. You must guess at where info was left out and try to find out more.
