Ok seriously. From what I understand, that game was one of the first to be translated to English straight from Japan instead of america. The English translator did a bad job, and botched most of the words. It is because of this that all games go through america first-because they translate Japanese, and then we translate the American slang.

Ah. I still don't get why they didn't go over it a second time and make the text more coherent. I mean, somebody must have tested the game before it came out, right?

Translators are in demand all over the world. You would find no difficulty finding employment.

Give it a shot if you feel you are up to it. If not, try another language. There is always need for a translator, no matter what he speaks.
