I must admit, even I like a good hockey game - during the playoffs, that is. But the NHL and the NHLPA just lose me. I couldn't care less about either side in the lockout dispute.

So this Team Canada win means something special for Canadians, even ones like me who are fairly hockey-resistant most of the time. Maybe the public should just let both sides in the hockey dispute go ahead and kill the league.

We could have new leagues. Lord Stanley's Cup can always be replaced...anybody know any Lords who like hockey? Let's talk!

Come on man, how could you ditch the Stanley Cup? No other such sports trophy has been forgotten in a snowbank, stuck at the bottom of a number of swimming pools, or used as a baptismal font!

I miss hockey. I'm afraid the owners and players are going to kill hockey forever.
