Canada just ended a 7 year gold medalless drought by beating Russia 6-1 in North Dakota to win the World Junior Championship. This team scored 41 in total while only allowing 7. This is one of the best, if not the best, teams Canada has ever fielded at this tournament and now Canadian Hockey has truly reached it's height. I'm a very proud and patriotic at this moment. Finally something to smile about in the midsts of what has been a bad start to 2005.

I am a damn patriotic Canadian, and I'm thrilled. :D I miss my NHL more than anything. Life without the Canucks is so empty... what am I supposed to pass the cold, COLD winter days with?
Speaking of cold, it's, like, -3 degrees Celsius right now. Glorious. I love it.

You mean the Vancouver Canucks? It's -35 celsius right now in Regina but we're in the middle of the ice age, so you can't blame us.

Though I must concede the goalie, Glass, had me worried. I kept thinking 'glass-jaw' or Mr. Glass, as if he was going to break down and let in 4 goals, but he did well.
