Hmm. While I don't buy much into the anti-UN talk, I do have to give him credit for being consistent and making sense. He has a point, even if I disagree with his solutions to the problem.

However, considering I can read that without retching, I'd say that man bought a tiny sliver of respect from me.

I agree that there is a problem, but as always I will advocate working from inside the system to fix the problem.

About time somebody in the Federal government started saying it!

Sorry, there's nothing straight about this talk apparently from Texas. It's hard to determine just what this person is saying, and who exactly his audience is.

In other words, feh. Feh, I say. Feh.

OH GOD! Blame the UN for for something the US knew about but SAID NOTHING while it was going on. Yes, UNs fault. Even though most of the Western World knew it was going on since its inception.

Stop turning to the oil for food scandal. The US knew about it and did nothing. That makes us just as blameable as the UN.

Criticising our aid. Of course. The initial offering was a platry $35m. harldy anything for a nation of our size. After the criticism, 350m. Looks like that complaining did something useful.

Get the US out of the UN? No. Get the US back into the UN? Yes.

You have absolutely no basis for saying that, I'm willing to bet. Other than, of course, the bullshit you regurgitate from "Texas Straight Talk", hardly a respectable source.

Do some thinking of your own. See that the U.N. has the potential to be a very powerful organization that promotes peace, arbitration, and humanitarian aid. The U.S. can help the U.N. realize that, rather than fucking every other country over.

I can't understand why Americans are so haughty. This country has been around for less than 250 years.

a person is smart, people are stupid

and the age itself is the explanation, we are a new developed nation that started in a relatively developed world, as aopposed to the old world nations, we are too young, we havnt yet learned to shut the fuck up and sit the fuck down when need be

The UN has got to go. Their massacre in Katanga alone is proof of this. So are the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, etc., which the U.S. became involved in through the UN (in the case of the Vietnam War, via SEATO). Let's not forget that the UN called Rhodesia "one of the greatest threats to world peace," yet Rhodesia had impeccable human rights, one of the lowest crime rates in the world (and one of the smallest police forces per capita), and posed no threat to any other nation. The UN adores terrorists like Libya, Sudan, Syria, etc., and idolizes tyrants like Castro, Quaddafi, Mugabe, etc. Most of their 'humanitarian aid' goes into their own coffers. They have hardly made the world a more peaceful place. The number of wars has increased exponentially since the UN's inception. The UN's soldiers are a bunch of rapists, junkies, and murderers (as exemplified in the 'peace-keepers' of Somalia and Kosovo). The UN has not one redeeming feature. Its demise should be encouraged and brought forth as soon as possible.

I'm talking about potential, homie. The United States has every opportunity to change the UN and its corruption, but they keep it disreputable and weak so they can pull shit like Iraq.
