Also has anyone been to a really nice restaurant and bars. Wnat to go somewhere with a good atmosphere for boyfs bday to celebrate. He wont eat anything too elaborate so steaks and the like are good though I would like to try some czech food.

I was there for a day last summer. Beautiful city, if a bit dirty from pollution. Can't help much on bars and restaurants. Be sure to see the stainless steel "art" in the middle of town. A womans bare legs up to her behind with her stainless steel underware around her ankles.
The town square and clock are really interesting though and the architecture is very interesting.

I think I have been to that place.
I don't remember the name but I went to see one of those camps near some town.
Beautiful surroundings though.
One of the most touching stories of the guides was about the water cistern that was used as a pool. Kids were playing in it, while below, several metres further there was an earthen wall where they executed people.
Again, I'm not sure it's the same place you're talking of.
Prague is beautiful. The alcohol is cheap, but expensive for CZ. If you go further into the country, it'll be even cheaper. A boat tour is also recommended. I did a tour on the jazz boat and had my first mezcal and Absolut Peppar there. Lots of possibilities for nightlife. I quite liked the local powerdrink, semtex, named after one of the CZ republic's most notorious exports.
The hotel was a couple of km's out of centre, it was this huge refurbished communist concrete block that used to house workers. Prague is very wide stretched.
You should also visit the palace and that bridge (forgot the names).
You should see it at night.

The city was fairly clean. It didn't have the "dirty" feel that Berlin has, despite the massive rebuiliding going on.
Stay in the old downtown, near the Jewish Quarter or the old square (where the "death" clock is). Around 9:00 pm, you'll hear where the best party is happnin'.
