It did not look funny and all the quotes I hear make it sound lame. I will probably never see.

I think the writers must have run into this guy Nick I knew in high school. The fact that everything Napoleon did reminded me of this guy kept me amused...

But otherwise, it let me down. From what I had heard, I was expecting a truly original independent film... so my heart sank when the MTV logo came on the screen. It had a real MTV "feel" to it, too. Generally pretty stupid.

That movie is actually one of my all time favorite movies! There's not one thing I didn't like about it, I liked everything, from Jon Heder's perm (Napoleon) to Kips' gangsterization. I have literally watched it nine times... and by the way, I caught you a delicious bass

My son saw and thought it was great. I'll probably catch it on DVD.

I watched it with a bunch of my friends and we laughed our heads off. And we still make Napoleon Dynamite cracks whenever we get together.

Part of the humor is the fact that we knew someone exactly like him.

I loved it but it really depends on what you think is funny if you are looking for a plot driven story it may let you down but if you just want something to crack you up it is awsome
so don't be a bodaget and watch it :D

i saw part of it.

i bought it for my sister for christmas and saw a scene or two... then i had to go.

i was busy over the holidays.

It wasn't the worst movie I've seen, but it certainly sucked pretty bad. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't pay to see it.

Saw it multiple times in the theaters and loved it, so I bought the DVD and have watched it more times than is healthy, laughing my head off every time. It's easily one of my all-time favorite movies.

Some of the better scenes were deleted though.

I just checked my copy of the DVD again and was about to complain about there not being any deleted scenes that I could find, when I suddenly realized that I had never actually turned the disc over and put it in the other way to see the rest of the features. I will be going to watch them immediately.

Damn, I feel stupid.

Just watched it tonight. It's by all means NOT a good movie, nor is it that funny.

There are some parts where I had to snicker due to the sheer stupidity and pointlessness, but that's it. I won't be watching it again that's for sure.

Okay, to be fair this is a misunderstanding of how MTV Films gets its' movies. Napolean Dynamite was an independently produced film that was bought after it was done by MTV, much in the same way it's first film-Better Luck Tommorrow was. It is a youth story that has a quirk to it, so it fit thier 'product.' That shouldn't be an immediate dismissal.
