I just read this, that at the electoral collage all 31 of New York’s electoral votes went to a “John L. Kerry” not the democratic candidate “John F. Kerry”. Another elector from Minnesota cast this vote for Edwards. The final electoral count was
George W. Bush of Texas Republican EV 286
John F. Kerry of Massachusetts EV 220
John L. Kerry of Massachusetts EV 31
John R. Edwards of North Carolina EV 1
Sooo… had Bush lost the 20 hot Ohio votes he would still have the most votes, and would have been re-elected. I’m sure a lawsuit would probably have taken place but since congress and the senate are republican, the electoral collage vote would have been upheld.
That could have been one major typo.
