This is the only reason why. 1: Because he was rich, he had the best care in the world. He probally had the best chance of living longer because he was richer than anyone else that had Alzheimers Diseaes. This post is not meant to disrespect Ronald Reagan or his family and friends. I think Reagan was one of the best U.S. Presdients Ever!
Then what is the point of this post? Seriously though, if anyone close to you has Alzhiemers, they and the people around them will suffer. Imagine your best friend on their deathbed, and you going to console them, only to not be recognized. To say he and his family didn't suffer is wrong.

Not like it was a physically painful disease where doctor care would make a difference… in fact in all but the beginning stages it is the family that suffers more then the individual (early stages where they RELIZE they are forgetting but cant do anything about it … that’s got to be bad)

My maternal grandmother suffered with Alzheimers for the last few years of her life. She had delusions and hallucinations and often became angry or frightened for no reason we could see. It's not pleasant. She finally died from liver cancer. Imagine your mind being reduced to the level of a very small child and not being able to understand what's going on around you. It's not physically painfull, but it's certainly not pleasant.

He died peacefully because he knew that he had tripled the national debt. His Reaganomics continue to leave a long-lasting legacy of massive budget deficits...

Yeah (though on the reverse side … worked in an Alzheimer’s unit) sometimes they are some of the happiest people I have ever met in a nursing home … there was a lady that used to grab me and want to swing dance every day … she may not remember it but until the day she died she had a smile on her face … all in all I saw more on the “light” then the dark side.
But there are a few that are bad ... (got accused of murdering this lady’s baby because I was picking up the hole punch circles off the floor)
Tough stuff to live through … but not sure I wouldn’t want to live out the end of my life that way

If he didn't suffer, then how was Tecumseh's curse fullfilled? (for those who don't know, Tecumseh's curse is that every president elected in a year ending with zero will suffer some horrible malady. This usually means that they die in office, but Regan didn't. This curse is true by the way, every president after 1840 (the first Tecumeh could effect, before then he hadn't died yet) except Regan that fit the conditions died in office. Check your history, its true.)

I'm not bad mouthing people that have the dieases. I'm good friends with a few people that have the dibillitating dieases. Probally Reagan was the only person that didn't suffer because he was rich. I
