I am fortunate enough to not have anyone injured in the Tsunami, but my 2nd Cousin was in Thailand at the time.

IT'S NOT A TIDAL WAVE!
Tidal waves are caused by the tide.
This was caused by an underwater earthquake, it is a Tsunami.

I didn't have anyone in the area, but if you did then I have my condolances for you. And a mention to all those people (Especcially in Brtian, i don't know about other countrys) who have given around £60 million pounds to charitys to help, and forced the goverment to up there aid pledge to £50 million. (These are old figures, I don't know how much it is now.) Thats around £1 per person in the UK.

Bhumi Jenson died. :(

I didn't know him, though, of course.

I know a friend of my younger son's who is on Sri Lanka, but he's apparently ok. Several other of my son's acquaintences there apparently didn't make it. He's still waiting on word of a few of them.

Thank you. Me too. My son seems to be taking it ok right now, but if very many of them are declared dead or their bodies are discovered .... Sigh.

:(
I don't know anyone living or vacationing there. If anyone is of a mind to, pray for the survivors. That event is a sign of the end.
