What is it with you people? All you do is argue about religion, why can't you all just agree to disagree? If people want to convert, they'll do it by themselves. Why the need to create 10+ page topics that are full of people bashing each other's religion?
Besides, if your views were that important you'd be a public speaker and speaking to bigger communities than NS.

Are you mad? you create a thread to complain about people creating unnecessary threads ? Unless you're relying on christian's complete lack of irony. Point is, religion is an important subject to many people (though it is baffling why otherwise intelligent people take it seriously). That is why 10 page threads are created on it. Noone is claiming their views are more important than anyone elses, but everyone is entitled to their opinion - even you.

You just don't get it, do you? People love to debate; for some people, it's what life is all about. It's not to convert people, it's just for the purpose of debate. I say let debate live. Live on, debate; may we forever enjoy your usefulness.

We're discussing the convuluted twists and turns and exploring the reasoning behind belief. It's what intelligent people do.

What would you like to talk about instead? Not talking?

Not talking about stuff's shit. Talking is a vital part of human evolution, since without it we'd all be screwed. Same with religion, it was very important. It might be an outdated anachronistic system now, but talking and debating isn't. So let us debate and stop whining.

1) Yes we will get right on that sir … we would hate to annoy you sir.
2) 10 page topics that I may mention you do not have to enter providing they are properly named
3) Not all is bashing sometimes we have true discussion of the fine details yes but not necessarily bashing all the time.


And I do have to say that like posted before is really ironic that you are anti bashing while “bashing” those who wish to discuss (as well as the fore stated thread about useless threads comment)


And last of all
We need something to talk about … religion is a very common theme that generally is at least understood in concept by most. Good topic for argument that is most of the time held very dearly to some (even the atheists)
Good grounds for interesting avenues of talk

I think it's good that people can disscuss (discuss, mind you, not bash) each other's religions. Finally, hopefully, those religions that are stereotyped can be understood.

Besides, it's the exact same thing the original poster said, only I'm talking about a person, he was talking about a topic. A topic that's much more interresting and productive than this, mind you.

It's one thing talking about a topic, and completely different talking about a person. I'm new to the forum, so I'm not sure how much Gibratlar has contributed to it, but I'm sure that that poster may have some contribution to give.
Gibratlar, my advice is to steer clear of the debate threads if you don't like them, no-one's forcing you to read them.
Lzrd, life may be harsh, but that's no reason not to treat others with respect.
