The Ramones were by far the best of that style of music. Plus they rocked.

I think they're both pretty cool ("I wanna be sedated" by the Ramones really rocks, as do "Rock the Casbah", "London's Calling" and "This Town Called Malice" by the Clash), but I wouldn't call either of them my favourite.
Please correct any erroneous information.

One small error: Rock the Casbah wasn't that good :p

It will always be the Ramones for me, but seriously, for a RPG about geopolitics, why is there such a heavy discussion on old school punk rock bands? It's weird and cool and the same time.
And Teenage Lobotomy has to be one of their best songs.

London Calling by itself outdoes anything by the Ramones. Follow it up with Combat Rock and you're set.
The Clash influenced in some way most major bands today plus they had the whole London Underground thing going for them.

Wow! Another Postal Service fan...you're the only one I know, excluding the few friends I've managed to convert.
Out of the Ramones and the Clash...I'd go for the Ramones, because...just because. I like them more. Even if all their songs do sound pretty much the same.
