Yeah Bobby Sands was, Elected rep. Of IRA Personnel Held in H-Block. He was in the Sinn Fein but from what i could see he wasn't a man of violence. I did my research. Its still a good quote, everyone has a part to play in the world and you can't just say Bobby sands was bad just because he represents something your against(not meant at you but people in General who are reading this). Bobby Sands as said wasn't a man of violence and saw that the only way for ireland to be free was non-violence an negotiation, his sister picked up the slack when he starved to death in prison after 66 days in the hunger strike.

Many spend their time berating practitioners for not applying their method. We all need to disseminate our ideas, but most of our time should be spent applying and improving our methods, not selling them. The best way to sell a mouse trap is to display some trapped mice.

Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph.

-Mao Tse Tung
A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car, but if he has a university education he may steal the whole railroad. Knowledge -- that is, education in its true sense -- is our best protection against unreasoning prejudice and panic-making fear, whether engendered by special interest, illiberal minorities, or panic-stricken leaders. The creed of our democracy is that liberty is acquired and kept by men and women who are strong and self-reliant, and possessed of such wisdom as God gives mankind -- men and women who are just, and understanding, and generous to others -- men and women who are capable of disciplining themselves. For they are the rulers and they must rule themselves.
-Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Open your eyes to the Truth. then open them to the other Truth. Then, try the one after that, and after that one, try the one over there- and while you're at it, look over in the corner underneath it- hey, there's another!
-Pope Paradox XLII, Security Guard of the XIII Eternal Mysterees
The foundation of all mental illness is the unwillingness to experience legitimate suffering.
-Carl Jung
The theory of a free press is that truth will emerge from free discussion, not that it will be presented perfectly and instantly in any one account.
-Walter Lippman
The biggest part of reporting the truth is the news agenda itself. What we choose to put on the air, what we think is a page one story, what our priorities are. I would not be fooled by the old myth that reporting is about objectivity. Deciding what is news is the most subjective of acts and it is probably the most important thing that we do.
-Carl Bernstein
There is no such thing, at this date of the world’s history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it… The business of the Journalist is to destroy truth; To lie outright; To pervert; To vilify; To fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals for rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and or lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.
-John Swinton, former Chief of Staff, The New York Times, circa 1880
Now I understood for the first time that all these problems are caused by a race asleep and thrashing about in its panicked nightmares. There will be wars and holocausts and genocides as long as God is portrayed and thought of as a tight-minded legislator, a feudal lord, an offended King, a hypersensitive Artisan – even if church managers condescendingly tack onto that ridiculous list the not-very-convincing footnote that He is also loving. As long as people dream that they are insecure and needy in some sort of eternal jeopardy, there will be atrocities. But as the human race grows up spiritually, and as individuals gain a personal experience of the God they have been worshipping in fear, they will recognize that much of their theology and philosophy is built on nightmares. That will be the day of peace. I suddenly found myself unwilling to sit it out in the mountains of Utah. I wanted to play an active role in the process of the world’s awakening.
-George Fowler, Dance of a Fallen Monk
Ease is never free: its gain is matched by a loss in choice, security, privacy, health, or a combination thereof
-Bradley Dilger
If you find yourself on the side of the majority it is time to reform
-Mark Twain
In contrast to folk and ethnic cultures, popular culture is primarily urban-based, encompasses great heterogeneity and is constantly changing and fluid. Relationships between people are often ephemeral, perhaps even shallow, with a much weaker family structure than in traditional society.

Those who are skilled in combat do not become angered, those who are skilled at winning do not become afraid. Thus the wise win before the fight, while the ignorant fight to win.

Must resist urge to destroy imbeciles. Must use them to advance own goals.
Keep your eyes on the prize, BM. The world will burn with your evil soon enough.
Don't get me wrong. I mean, I'm all about random violence perpetrated against hapless victims...
Ok. I have to remain calm and rational or else this could go very badly for me. So what I have to ask myself is this: How will I dispose of their bodies and where can I find enough soap to clean up the horrible, horrible bloody mess?
There ain't nuthin' that beats a nice relaxing nap after brutally assaulting a helpless old man, emotionally scarring an innocent child twice, and murdering a pair of city guards in broad day light. Which is a bit ironic really.
Argh! How am I suppose to stab him to death when I can't get through his damned armor?!
We have clearly reached the point where only rampant and unchecked stabbing can save us. And my first act as self-appointed stabmaster is to slay my comrades.
I would jump into the acid right the hell now just to save time, but then I wouldn't be able to hear your own horrible acidy screams of death.
What are you talking about? I'm just pissed off he can get away with it so easily! I mean, geez! I bet I could kill like ten times as many people if I didn't have to worry about legal repercussions. Damn guards. And here Black Belt is with monkoplatic immunity and he's just wasting it! Give me the power to kill with impunity! I'd put it to damn good use. Man, just thinking about it makes me giddy like a little school-mage! Where would I begin! After Fighter, of course.
We're about to witness an inverse relationship between the number of stab wounds I inflict on you and the number of answers you start giving me.
I wish I had arachna-powers. I would dispense death from the skies.
Remember, kids, with great power comes great opportunity to abuse that power.
See? It's perfectly harmless. Kinda like you guys will be when you're stabbed to death. Er, y'know, for example.
I just want to cause devastation on a global scale. Is that so wrong?
Mind you it is hard to speak with six inches of knife sticking out of your face. Mostly they just gurgle. And bleed.
Oh man, maybe it's a cave to the old ones and they ripped his soul out through his spleen which, itself, had been ripped through his chest. It's too funny, I have got to sit down.
It'd be sad if it weren't so painful for him. Therefore, I laugh. Tee hee!
I could try. Sometimes I think that maybe for the love of the right woman I could do it. You know, the kind of woman that would make me not evil. But then I think that she'd probably want to talk to me afterwards, and who wants to put up with that?

Meditation on inevitable death should be performed daily. Every day when one’s body and mind are at peace, one should meditate on being ripped apart by rifles, arrows, spears and swords, being carried away by surging waves, being thrown into the midst of a great fire, being struck by lightning, being shaken to death by a great earthquake, falling from thousand-foot cliffs, dying of disease or committing Seppuku at the death of one’s master. And everyday without fail one should consider himself as dead.
In the Kamigata area they have a sort of tiered lunchbox they use for a single day when flower viewing. Upon returning, they throw them away, trampling them underfoot. The end is important in all things.
According to what one of the elders said, taking an enemy on the battlefield is like a hawk taking a bird. Even though it enters the midst of a thousand of them it gives no attention to any bird than the one it first marked.
There is surely nothing other than the single purpose of the moment. A man’s life is a succession of moment after moment. If one fully understands the present moment, there is nothing left to do, and nothing else to pursue.
