The time has come to take my leave of Nationstates. It has taken up far too much of my time for far too long, I'm afraid, and I can't justify it anymore (not that I ever could). I've had some good times here, and I've met some wonderful people (with whom I'll try to keep in touch through other means). I've also met some people who I wouldn't spit on if they were on fire--although you might be surprised who isn't on that list. And there have been those with whom I have disagreed, at times vehemently, but who I still respect for various reasons (and you might be really surprised who makes that list).

But ultimately, Nationstates has sucked away too much of my time and energy from my work and everyday life. Time I've spent here debating various issues and topics (often to little or no avail) would have been better spent working on my poetry or on my other ambitions. Time I spent shouting about politics here would have been better spent on the street or in writing letters to editors or politicians. I can't get that time back, and I don't regret spending it here, but I have to move on, so I made it my New Year's resolution to leave this place, sad as it makes me in some ways.

Not sure you'll get to read this, but...

Take care of yourself. I am not sure which one of those 3 lists I belong on (well, there is one I am sure I don't fall in!) but you're one of the few lefties I have respect for in this thing. You bring a well-developed sense of right and wrong, and while we vehemently disagree about quite a few issues, I think you're one of the better-educated folks in NS.

Incertonia, you will be sorely missed. I know Zep and I have come to respect you in a big way since you started on NS. We will miss having you here to help dispel the myths and to try and help set the facts straight. Your fact over fiction approach I have always admired.

Perhaps you could post your blog url so we can still keep in touch? If you don't want to post it here, then perhaps you could send it to me via my telegrams?

Bye Incertonia. I always tried to keep up with your threads, above most all the others. You will be much missed.

How very unfortunate - with your departure, Incertonia, the forums lose another voice of reason, another purveyor of logic, and another genuine thinker. You've always been on my list of posters most worth reading. As we seem to agree on most issues, such lamentation and pending wellwishing would seem to be less notable than if it were to come from one of your forum foes, but such things are still well worth saying. Good luck with your future endeavors, and using the time you've reclaimed for the real world.

Dude. You were one of the most valuable personalities and IQs on the board and will be sorely missed by all.

One day I may leave, it won't be any time soon since I am learning so much, but when that day does occur I hope I have by then contributed as much as you have to the forums and have become just as wise.
