Okay, I know it came like a month or two ago, but I just got and man does it rock! possibly better than one of the greatest games ever made, FF7 or even OOT. what do you all think about it?

Blasphemy!! OOT owned all! (jk)

But seriously, I've never played Fable; if it's that good then it should definitely rank up there

*I wouldn't consider anything in here a SPOILER but if you don't want to know how long the game is don't read ahead*

OK you just got it and it may seem cool, but in 10 hours when you are staring at the TV screen going "... It's over... ALREADY!!?!?" You won't be so excited. I, too, mistakenly thought Fable would be the coolest game ever, but then after I had played it for 12 hours and got everything in the game I realized the hype was for nothing but an over publicised game. You can max out your guy in under two hours of gameplay and there isn't much to do after that. Unlock the silver key chests to get equipment you won't need by the time you unlock them, no secret bosses/dungeons, no extra areas to explore.

Oh yeah and the whole good/evil element that was suppoesed to "revolutionize" role-playing games is worthless. There's pretty much no point in not being evil because you basically get free money all the time. Besides if you want to be good later you can just go kill about a hundred zombies and you'll be back to the "lightside."

Overall Fable is a good rent, but only that, not worth the money for a buy. 6/10

I agree. Replay value is 1/10.

The game was lots of fun but I could have hired it and completed it over a weekend.

It's a good game, it's just excessively short.

Eh, I thought it was pretty good as far as gameplay goes. Replayability's a little low, but it's always fun to try out new characters. I have a friend who created a character who's the equivalent of Green Arrow: pure bow. It really kicks butt. I've got a fairly balanced character so far, leaning slightly towards magic.

Admittedly, I don't get out much, so the gameplay was really awesome for me, and the lack of replayability isn't a huge factor, since I don't own any consoles (I just play it at my friend's house). But the first time around, the game is fantastic.

You What! Better than FF7? Best RPG ever made! Not because of graphics, nope because of its story. Fables a really good game actually, I think its pretty cool apart from the stupid length. It took me 3-4 years to complete FF7, now thats value for money.

I don't think it's bad, but it lacks depth: depth as in replayability, and depth as in story complexity.

Hmm, true, but you have to give them credit for thinking up some intriguing monsters...new spin on old Fantasy-era creatures (Hobbes, Balverines, the Golems). I especially like some of the spells; very creative, although I think they could have put a little more effort into naming the "Force Push" spell.
