A lot of foks have been donating money and supplies but these things can be had in unlimited supply. The Red Cross is in urgent need of blood, especially Rh negative and O. They can't find it unless we donate it so

PLEASE GIVE BLOOD TODAY!!

I am RH-, unfortunately, because of my time in the UK during the "mad cow" years, I am not allowed to donate.

Then again I am also blood type A, so it would be bugger all use anyway.

I have a blood doner card, but it tends to go to the huge shortage we have in this country.

If there is a shortage in your own country and enough people donate, then the surplus can be sent elsewhere. Network the message and get folks off their couches. Grab your friends and family and make giving blood a family outing. Even if you can't donate you can be a motivating force to get others to. Please!

My wife has thalls (sp?) anemia and can't donate, but she volunteers at the Red Cross blood bank. If you can't donate, then please try to round up other folks who can. Maybe offer a ride or a snack party at your house after donating?

If you read my posts, you will see that I have inserted a "please" once or twice. You may apply them as you wish. I wasn't "telling" you to give blood, but trying to lead a charge to the blood donor locations, kinda like a cheerleader.

Gimme a pint, gimme a quart, gimme blood, blood, blood!!

I'm not sure what my blood type is..

Doesn't matter. They will test your donation and find out. All blood is needed it's just that Rh negative and O are needed desparately.

Please

Don't you have to be 18?

Don't you have to be 18?

I think younger people can donate with parental permission. Check your local donor location for the law in your area.

Please!

Cool.

What if you have THC in your blood?

Rh-? That's pretty rare. It's too bad I don't have either of those too.

Rare genetic combination that causes my immune system to be a bit more aggressive than normal. If I donate blood for this, I might as well go to Asia and personally stab someone to death. It'll have the same effect. As you can imagine, I'm not allowed to donate.

Also, about the only way I can get a transplant is if they affect my immune system in a way similar to AIDS. Really sucks.

The thought of spreading my DNA around keeps me donating on a regular basis. :D

No matter what your blood type is, if you can donate you should. If your blood type is rare, they're less likely to have it. If its common, then more people need it.

I'm A Rh+ for anyone keeping score at home :p
