Yeah why not?

However I always believe in having some tariffs (our current ones is too much). If not the small people with good ideas but no financial backing would die at its infancies.

Free trade can be a viable option, I believe that it may be a viable option in its current form. I think however, it would take quite a bit of work to make it an IDEAL option. Right now it is not a waste of time, but nor is it blessings for all.

Well to inspire a little more talk ill give my opinion on it. I think if given proper market conditions (Such as within the EU) open boarders, and free trade is more then viable possibly superior. But the only reason it is successful in the EU is because to be apart of it you must meet economic standards. Here in the United States we dont look for these standards. We give out free trade liberally to anyone who wants it essentially. Free trade with Mexico and possibly even Canada has been a grevious disaster. To further this the situation will only be exasterbaited when latin American countries will be added in. Unless standards are put we threaten our own economic stability on these handouts. China is but another example of the disasterious conidtions which occur.. To this note i would say NAFTA is greatly detremental to this country (The United STates) and should be repealed.... and tariffs reinstituted quickly until standards can be put in place.
