Agree'd. I'm hesitant to believe that the LA Times website wouldn't mention tornadoes (although admittedly I wouldn't put it past them either).

I don't see how the supposed "climate change" could cause an earthquake, which caused the tsunami...

I know what the LA Times is... it's your responsibility to link us to it, considering I don't feel like spending half an hour searching there web site for the article.

I think it's the other way around.. Earthquake and tsunami's caused the sudden climate change.
It happened. I live south of Los Angeles, but I heard news that some tornados caused some moderate damage.
It wasn't really major news, it was a sexy reporter going "In addition, several tornados caused damage...blah blah blah..." in some suburban city in California.
I think we're also getting some snow on Wednesday as well. Why's that important? Because we've had a seven year long drought here. That, and it's Southern California for bloody sakes.

Thats really freaky...tornadoes in LA? I think the west is messed up right now. Perhaps it does have something to do with the tsunami... Anyway, the result of the storm system didn't just affect California...it affected Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and I think Colorado. Its causing massive floods in northern Arizona...which is horribly strange. It also brought alot of rain at where I live, so thats kinda good for the desert part.

Ironic you mention McDonalds. I live 20 miles south of Los Angeles and the last time there was a tornado here, the only thing destroyed was a McDonalds. Oh well, besides the point. All Last week all of costal California had pretty big rain storms 24-7. That's the only thing that really causes tornadoes here, except maybe Hollywood.

Hate to rain on the parade here, but tornadoes have been hitting our area for decades on a pretty regular basis. Not just waterspouts coming in from offshore, but authentic ones as well. I saw one take out a row of 8-10 eucalyptus trees in Pomona around 6-7 years ago, from a few blocks away and remember hearing about one hitting Covina a few years ago too. I haven't seen the Emmerich movie though, although I heard him speak at the Goethe institute last year, which was kinda neat. :)

I thought that it was an underwater earthquake which caused tsunami.
