Woolworths is destroying local business. (and killed a cat.)

I am really worried about the amount of new Woolworths stores that are popping up througout the US. They are using lower prices to force other shops out of business. If we don't stop them, they will soon become the worlds largest retailer, and if that happens then Woolworths will control our entire lives.
Imagine what will happen. No more family owned stores, no more choice in where we shop. It will just be that Woolworth guy dictating terms to his suppliers. We have to stop him now. If he corners the market, he will never go away.
Join me in my crusade against Woolworths.
Thank you but I'm afraid I have other commitments that come first. And I've never been one for crusades.

Woolworths? They all went out of business a few years ago.

He's being sarcastic, and perhaps trying to get a rise out of me specifically; it won't work either, because I refuse to be tempted to insult him anymore. It's simply not worth it.
Further, General, I wish to apologize for all insults, jibes, and offensive comments I have directed at you, and wish to formally declare a vow to not speak to one another, to avoid any future incidents. Agreed?

I live in the US and have no clue about the Woolworth invasion.

You can get Woolworths in the US? Huh. You learn something new and, usually, entirely pointless every day.

Wait you don't enjoy ruining things for others in crusades...how very unchristian tsk tsk

Satire is supposed to be clever and original. This one isn't even amusing.

But Woolworths is using its bulk purchasing power to undercut all its smaller competitors. If we don't stop it now it may well be rich enough to build the tallest building in NYC before WWI and have it named the catherdral of commerce. Even worse, by the 1960s it may not only be the biggest retailer in the world, but also own thousands of other businesses. If that happens, well nothing can stop it, and it will surely dominate our future forever.
Not to mention woolworths uses its market power to force reduced wages on its staff and break unions. Frankly it is the bane of american - and european - soceity.
