Thousands of people are still missing and millions are homeless following the Asia earthquake that has seen the death toll reach tens of thousands

The BBC News website has received many messages from people eager to find out about the whereabouts of families and friends who live in or are visiting the region.

Go here (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point/4130565.stm) and use the forms to view, and post (if necessary), the messages by the loved ones of missing peoples in the region.

If you know that anyone - or are missing someone you know - please post here.

Thank you

Ive donated money to some charities, I live in America, there are tons of fundraisers going on. Whether its a little kids lemonade stand, or the Apple computers website.

Noone can say the US is doing nothing, we have donated tens of millions of dollars, are working up a coalition. Have endless fundraisers, and from Guam (In the pacific, a US territory) have sent four ginormous US ships that can each produce 90,000 gallons of water per day. Plus they can carry a butt load of supplies, and workers.

I never said the US was doing nothing, they've sent Colin Powell into the area :)

No seriously, everyone needs to pull together and help overcome this tragedy, and I am glad that the US is cooperating :)

For once, can we keep our nationalistic dicks in our pants and just roll up our sleeves? People of goodwill the planet over have been moved by this horror and undoubtedly are doing what they can to help out. That includes governments.

Basta!

Never have I used my penis to hang an american flag on. I guess I just never got around to it.

But I agree. Nobody gives a crap who gave what. Let's focus on who needs help and getting them some.

LOL, well, I guess that one goes on your "List of things to do before I die"?

...actually, no. You can't. I'm doing it first :D

Anyway, i'm donating money, as it's all I can really do.

I'd donate something, except for one little problem: I have no money to donate, and my family can't really spare anything. >_>

If you and a million other people give a nickle each that would be $50,000.00. That is not nothing.

Everyone can give something.

I volunteer for Oxfam on a Saturday morning; we're currently running an Appeal for donations.

Everyone can help out in one way or another :)

Except lectures to others apparently.
