Resolutions Anyone?

THE LOST PLANET

I can't believe I haven't seen a new years resolution thread yet. Well let's get it out of the way. Anyone making any resolutions for this coming year?

Me, I'm gonna cut back on the cigars, somehow I got up to 1-2 a day. I'm gonna cut back to 3-4 a month.

I'm also pledging to ride more, mechanical problems and other excuses have kept me out of the saddle too much this last year. I figure a new bike will cure that, because I'd have a spare.
Hope my wife sees it that way.

I also resolve to take a real vacation this year, not just take time off from work for one reason or another, but really get away and recharge. I can't remember the last time I did that, it's been at least 20 years.
I'm due.

Get a job that not everyone can do. This has more to do with graduating from fakey grad school then it does with the new year, though.

I resolve to avoid the threads here that I suspect will leave me wanting to throttle people. Because those are bad for my blood pressure.

And to find a way to outsmart my cat, who likes to sleep on my face if I don't wake up at 5am to play with him. It's like being smothered by a hairy pillow. That purrs.

And to try drinking so I can give that up/cut down on it next year.

And to be slightly less anti-social. Slightly. I might even see a movie with another person at some point.

Oh, and there are a couple of people I need to have assassinated. Might as well make that a New Year's Resolution too.

I aim to drop 20lbs by the end of March, and another 20 by the end of August. I joined a gym this year and have been twice. Duh. I think I'll have to go more...

A have a car I'm restoring, and I aim to get the engine rebuilt by the end of April, and the welding (of which there is a lot) done by the end of August.

I aim to stop eating mayonaisse... the substance which replaced nicotine in my plethora of addictions, and the cause of me needing to drop 40lbs.

Yeah Lose weight is definitely on my list.

Read more books, and study more. Try to aim maybe at least a credit or distinctions in my uni, rather than just bumming around all day and do last minute studies to pass.

Try and study hard to get into Melbourne Uni. :p

One of my favorite movie quotes. I always thought Ahnold should have run on a platform of Crush the deficit, See the illegals driven accross the border, Hear the roar of hummers on the highway.
