I was just wondering how many of my fellow americans actualy knew before entering this thread that popular votes do not decide who becomes president, and how many non americans actualy knew. I don't think that many people actualy know that, but I decided to try to use this to find out. This is supposed to be part informative actualy.

i think everyone who has watched tv in the last 6 months probably knows that. we know that bush won against the pop vote in 2000. we know that the electoral college/ first past the post system is flawed. all this we know. do we care enough to organise violent rebellion? not many of us do
