Google search hits prove Santa is Satan?

Idiotic website: http://www.av1611.org/othpubls/santa.html

An internet Google search on "Satan Claus" [not Santa Claus – but SATAN Claus] found over 1,700 hits! Obviously, there are many that tie the two together.

They also quote Blavatsky, who wrote a known hoax. These people need a reality check.

If a Google search can provide evidence that Santa is Satan by just the number of hits, then let's test out what else it can prove. The following is not meant as flamebait, but as a way to show the idiocy of this.

"Jesus is gay" 4,050,000 hits.
"Jesus is Satan" 2,940,000 hits.
"I am God" 22,200,000 hits.
"I killed God" 5,670,000 hits.
"God hates humanity" 164,000 hits.
"God is evil" 12,700,000 hits.
"Santa is God" 4,100,000 hits.
"Evolution is right" 19,400,000 hits.
"Evolution is wrong" 5,360,000 hits.

So, what have we proved? Well, apparent Jesus and Satan are both the same guy and gay, I am God and yet killed myself (God's dead), Santa is God (meaning he's also me and dead), I am evil, I hate humanity, and Evolution is both right and wrong.

I hope I have proven the idiocy of using internet search hits as evidence to everyone.

This is old news.
Think about it,
Santa = Satan
Claus = Claws
Sleigh = Slay

The whole thing became redundant a few decades ago anyway, when Santa's evil twin brother Skippy locked Santa in the tower and took over the whole Elf Empire.

I was commenting more on the stupidity of a type of arguement they used.

It comes from the people who are too stupid to study etymology (language origins and roots)

"Santa", similar to "San" and "Santo" is a derivative of "Sinter" an old Dutch word for Saint, derived from the German word "Sankt" In Dutch is is Sinterklaas or Sint Nicolaas (Saint Nicolas).

Offshot Cults claiming Christianity use such non-etymological tricks of language to convince the unlearned, and lure them into their traps.

Other groups have been known to classify "Jesus" as a idol; and instead Adhere to "Yeshua" the Hewbrew name of Jesus... They etymologically trace Jesus through part of it's roots... Jesus (Modern), Iesus/Iesvs (Classical Latin), to Ιησούς [Iesous] (He-ay-zoos) and claim it is a reworking of "Hail Zeus" (never mind of course "Hail Zeus" is a similar sound to the term in Modern English; a language which did not exist during Ancient Greek times)... Failing to realize that transliteration of names was common untill about 1300 AD... And the desisting of it in recent times, is just that, recent. They also fail to understand the concept was common because alot of names were not portable across languages (For example Yay-shoo-ah would be impossible in Greek, because there is no "Y" or "SH" sound).

In any case; their mental trickery is quickly torn apart by anyone with a decent understanding of english, latin and greek etymology.

I just love the picture caption:

"Above: A drunk and perverted Santa Claus ruins ruins Christmas for a group of youngsters my making rude gestures to suggest the enormous size of his genitalia. He is more than likely a homosexual."

Though it was funnier when I thought it was genuine.

This reminds me of a quote I recently saw:

If someone were to believe this than they believe Google is God.

What I found the most satisfying humor in is not the article itself, but the fact that it rests beneath a headline which proudly defies compassion, a vital Christian value and certainly one of the traits of Christ that is focused on at Christmas.

N...naniii?! I recognize how terribly I lack in intelligence, so I'll ask: these people, are they satirists or serious? O.o

I have never seen anyone back an argument up based on the number of Google hits. Who does that?
