My favorite albums of 2004 have been Start Something by Lostprophets and Tyrannosaurus Hives by The Hives. Might not be the best albums, but they're by far my favorites. Oh, and Rearviewmirror (Pearl Jam's greatest hits) is great stuff too, but that doesn't really count.

American Idiot is all that comes to mind for me. But, if it counts, my favorite CD (won't appeal to all tastes) is Live by Catch 22.

My favourite albums of 2004 have been Keane - Hopes and Fears and U2's How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. Also partial to Franz Ferdinand's stunning eponymous debut, the Killers (as mentioned) and Kasabian.

Oooh there's been lots of good stuff this year. I'd blow a million on albums easily!
