Just what exactly happens at a model UN conference?
Sorry for delay have been asleep! Well Model UN or MUN as it is more commonly known is very like nation states. You are given a country to represent on UN committees such as disamrament and international security, you are given topics such as nuclear proliferation, you write a resolution in accordance to your countries views (this is great fun if your country seen as 'evil') and then you go and debate for a few hours. I myself was at an MUN in America last year where I was the Iraqi minister for human rights and ended up giving my full backing for a spot of mass murder, formed my own coup with the Minister for Defence, she got the blame because I talked my way out of it. We declared war on Iran even tho we only had an army of 30 000! Rebuilt the nuclear weapons program(the committee was the Iraqi 06 council) All in the name of fun and promoting peace of course!
