What exactly is the Paradise Club thread for? A roll plying game of sorts? Is anyone allowed to go there? I'm just curious as to what it is or what its about?

I think it is a role playing thing filled with pre-teens cybering. I stay away from it but I believe anyone is allowed to join.

You would get information if you posted in the Paradise Club thread. People that post in the Paradise Club thread don't post that much outside of it.

Yeah seems to have a lot of the same posters. Teen cybering-lol......wise to stay away from that I guess.

The BS comment of the day award. I post in II, Moderation and General on a regular basis. Teen-cybering, more BS. Its like an online chat type thread, it only became cybering since a certain person showed up. Since then, its been moving more and more to RPing, but you keep up with the stereotypes. There are now very few people who still don't RP. About 3 or 4 I think. Anyone is allowed to join, and everyone is welcomed. Expect arguments, and learn who not to mess with, I can help you there as I have picked the wrong fights on numerous occasions.

No idea. I popped in once and asked, and got no answer, so I just typed in some nonsense. I think it's just lonely people who get off on cyberhugging/kissing people. And having nothing better to do. And I thought I was the only one who knew the lyrics to "Barbara Ann"

It's mostly just a chat thread loosely centered around a bar/club RP world.

I find it interesting that people who never post in there speak with so much authority on what they think it's all about.

To me, the Paradise Club is an escape from all the flame and argument threads that abound on these forums. I get tired of hearing who's religion is better, who's way of life is better or which country is better. I wandered into PC and found people who just like to chat, RP without the politics, and they were encouraging people to just be themselves.

Sure we had some people who like to Cyber... and we slowly and surly steer them away from that. but there are some who still cram their ideals down other people's throats... so it's not a total escape.

I think the Paradise Club is the end result of a consolidation of several topics/threads over the course of several months. It is no big secret that the "powers that be" have, over time, methodically squeezed out many topics that a lot of folks here found to be inane or frivolous or whatever, but a lot of other folks (myself included) believed were sociable and valid and just plain fun. Eventually, what was left of those fun times has been funneled, or perhaps, corralled into a catchall Paradise Club. There is still an old guard, though many have since departed. There is a strong newer guard. And there are always transients and newbies and curiosity seekers dropping in and out to check out what is going on.

Pick a topic, and it's probably been played out in the PC. We have gone through much turmoil and much glee. There are supernatural streaks, melodramatic soap opera-like streaks (current), spammy streaks, sexy streaks, happy streaks, depressing streaks, chatty streaks. Even a few political moments, though they are highly frowned upon by the regulars.

At the end of the day, it's just some people having a bit of fun with their friends, old and new. If you like what you see, feel free to join in. If you don't, go back to posting why George Bush is an idiot or why homosexuals will all go to hell. We certainly could never get enough of that...
