Liberal: Bush is putting the economy in the crapper!
Conservative: Hogwash! The economy is the strongest it has ever been!

Our latest edition:
Liberal: Why aren't we giving more to aid Indonesia?!
Conservative: We can't afford to!

Does anyone else see this as .... odd?

Its becuase the Con and Libs cant agree, if one group becomes biased on something then the other group must immedialty go opposite, and then both sides come up with random excuses to fortify there arguments.

o demonstrate, I am a Conservative, so if I say something like, I think Alligators are cool animals, eventually, a group of liberals will make an Anti-Alligator group.

You probably didn't get issue #4653, let me recap:

Conservatives: We want to go to war to protect our national interest!
Liberals: We have no business interfering in the affairs of soverign states!

and now...

Conservatives: We are giving quite enough.
Liberals: It is our duty to help the international effort!

So wait, we can only act when we're giving something, not getting something? Is this Neo-Isolationism?

Well, if the economy is doing well, that means that American business has money, not the federal government. So how long until we see how much money is being spent on the quake relief by corporations or non-profit organizations? So far all we've seen is various government expendatures. I know that there are many organizations who are spending a good chunk of change over there.
