I was always told it's impolite to start a conversation about religion or politics, so Is Jesus a republican or democrat? Yes, Jesus is a US citizen.

Are you referring to a Spanish person I know named Jesus (pronounced Heh-sus)? Honestly I do not know

I thought he was a libertarian.

I heard he was a commie-nazi arab hippie who should get his hair cut and go back to canada.
But then I also heard he was a private businnessman who loved the free-market, paying his disciples what he saw fit to give them.

Most likely a Libertarian or a Constitutionalist.
Considering he thought the world would end in 20 years or so, I doubt he cared. Same reason he didn't condemn or support slavery.

He wouldn't be in any party.
However, others qould group him into the democrats.
Long hair, talks about peace and brotherly love, emphasis on giving away money, "give to Ceasar..." pro taxes...yeah, Jesus is a pinko hippie :p

I'm Jewish, so cut me some slack here. Jesus had no opinion on raising the minimum wage, free trade, abortions, or affirmative action--that makes it kinda hard to tell. No Democrat I know thinks homosexuality is one of the worst sins on earth. No Republican I know spends all of his time helping the downtrodden at the expense of the corrupted. So basically, yeah this is kinda dumb.

I doubt Jesus was a hippie. Hippies are filthy, amoral, violent monsters and freaks of nature. As for the 'pro-taxes' part, got any proof? I highly doubt he was pro-tax or pro-welfare, for that matter. Doesn't the Bible explicitly say, "Thou shalt not steal?"

Now now youngster. You don't know any so you can't judge them.
My mom was a hippy. She is also a nurse with 40000+ births in her career.
Violent? Really?
I guess Ghandi, Mother Teressa, and the Dalli Lama were all thugs then?

Ever heard of the Weathermen? Or the Democratic National Convention of 1968?

There is no answer to this question--Jesus lived 2,000 years ago, while the Republican and Democratic parties were founded 300-200 years ago. If you have ever taken a history course, I think you may know the changes that the world went through between 30 CE and the 18th-19th centuries. There's my schpiel. Enjoy.

Actually, Hippies were the product of a counterculture, and spoke out against violence. They stood for universal love and liberation. You obviously have no clue what you're talking about. But then again, as a member of the constitution party, I expect you to be an ignorant fool.

Well I just did, pro-tax, but pro-welfare?
"Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow from you."

Taken out of context. Jesus was trying to tell his followers to not break the laws of the land they live in.

A)Don't flame
B)Some hippies were extremely violent. Ever heard of the Weathermen, or the protesters at Kent State, or the upheavel at the Democratic National Convention in 1968?

Well.....
Those in the know do correct me but if memory serves there was a great deal of talk about resisting roman taxes, etc.....

Yes, if taxation was part of the nation's laws. That does not mean that Jesus was pro-taxes though. If the Christian lived in a nation without tax, he would not expect the follower to pay taxes. Basically, he would be neither for nor against taxes.

He probably isn't a strict Libertarian. But I don't think he'd involve himself in worldly politics, more on spirituality and love and hope and all that shit.

The real question is, what kind of car would Jesus drive. I see Jesus in a used Volvo 740 wagon. Cheap, steady, good for about 300,000 miles, and enough room for the disciples in back. Maybe he would just ride the bus?
